Choosing the space
Rooftop. Open and photogenic in the evening, but check that the stairs are wide enough for stage materials and that the floor is level. Keep a plan for wind, since light drapes and hanging items move.
Courtyard (sehan). A good fit for a larger crowd. Decide where guests will walk so the backdrop is not blocked, and where the dholki corner will sit.
Drawing room. Best for a small, close family function. Furniture usually has to be moved aside to make room for floor seating, so plan that ahead.
How much space do you need?
Our Basic mehndi package has an 8–10 ft backdrop with floor seating for up to 20 guests; Classic uses a 12–14 ft backdrop with floor seating for up to 40; Premium covers 60+ guests. Send us a photo or measurements and we will tell you which size fits.
Power and lighting
Fairy lights, lanterns and neon signs need power points near the stage. Before the day, note where the sockets are, whether extension cords will reach the backdrop, and whether your home power can handle lights plus sound together. If you are unsure, ask us when we check the space on a visit or video call.
Timing
Setup is done on the same day and removal is next-day. Mehndi is usually an evening function, so tell us your guest arrival time and we will plan the setup to finish before it, with the stage area kept clear while we work.
