Both outdoor lawn mehndis and indoor hall or drawing-room setups work well in Sialkot — the right choice depends on your season, guest count and budget. Here is how to decide.
Weather risk in Sialkot
Sialkot sees light winter drizzle from December through February and occasional dust storms before the monsoon in July–August. If your mehndi falls in these windows, an indoor or covered lawn setup is safer. October–November and March–April are generally dry and are the most popular outdoor mehndi months.
Cost differences
Outdoor lawn: Needs a larger backdrop (14–16 ft), a canopy or tent for shade, extra lighting runs and often a generator on standby — all of which add PKR 15,000–35,000 over an equivalent indoor stage.
Indoor hall or rooftop: Smaller backdrop, existing electricity and no weather contingency needed, which keeps a basic setup around PKR 25,000–30,000.
Guest capacity
A drawing room or rooftop comfortably seats 15–25 guests on the floor. A home lawn can take 40–60 with proper seating rows, and a marquee or banquet lawn can go beyond 100. If your guest list is large, outdoor almost always works out cheaper per head than renting extra hall space.
Price tiers
- Indoor/rooftop basic (15–25 guests): PKR 25,000–35,000
- Outdoor home lawn, covered (40–60 guests): PKR 45,000–65,000
- Outdoor marquee/banquet lawn (80+ guests): PKR 85,000–130,000
Our advice
If your date falls in a dry month and you have lawn space, outdoor gives the best photos for the money. If it's winter or you want a fuss-free evening, book an indoor or rooftop stage and add extra lighting to compensate. Either way we bring backup rope lights and a small canopy for peace of mind.
