Good lighting does more for an evening function than any single piece of décor — it sets the mood, flatters every guest, and is the single biggest factor in how photos turn out. Here are the ideas that work well for Sialkot venues.
Fairy-light curtains
A warm-white fairy-light curtain behind the stage is now standard in almost every package we do, from mehndi to walima. It reads beautifully on camera and works equally well on a rooftop, in a lawn or inside a hall.
Uplighting
Coloured uplights placed along the backdrop or around pillars wash the whole space in a chosen tone — gold for barat, soft pink or blush for walima, deep jewel tones for a themed dinner. This is the quickest way to make a plain hall feel styled.
Chandeliers and lanterns
Hanging chandeliers or a cluster of Moroccan-style lanterns over the stage or dining tables add height and elegance without crowding the floor — popular for walima and corporate dinner setups.
Neon signage
A custom neon or LED name sign behind the couple's seat or at the entrance is one of the most requested add-ons this season — it photographs beautifully after dark and works for both weddings and birthdays.
How lighting affects your photos
Warm light (2700–3000K) flatters skin tones far better than bright white light, and layered lighting — ambient, backdrop and accent — avoids the flat look of a single overhead source. Always ask your photographer what time the couple's entrance is, so we can time the lighting peak accordingly.
